Do you own a sweater that could last you a lifetime? A sweater that you could even wear in the summer? A sweater that is so soft and handmade with the finest eco friendly wool? It was an honor to model some of Kristin Magdalene’s handmade sweaters that are just that. She is an incredibly talented designer and the detailing on these pullovers, cardigans and scarves are so unique and truly in a league of their own. #wooliscool
I know that it is summer, and you are probably wondering why blog about sweaters right now, however the right kind of sweater can actually be worn year round. It is technically winter in Australia right now, so somebody in our world is rocking a sweater possibly as you read this! What I didn’t know about wool is that it breathes and is actually a natural insulator, which means it keeps the cool in when it is hot and the heat in when it is cold.
Wool even has UV protection and can help regulate your body’s temperature!
Before I even put on one of Kristin Magdalene’s sweaters I just had to feel it with my hands. It was the softest and lightest sweater I had ever felt. She uses all natural eco friendly and biodegradable materials. The yarn is top notch 100% Peruvian Highland Sheep Wool. You can feel good about wearing the vibrant colors the knits come in too, the dye that is used is low impact and certified by REACH and Oeko Tex through a renewable energy powered process. Look good and feel good about what is on your body!
I couldn’t get enough of this bold orange color. Even the pattern of the knitting is seriously perfect.
I love that the sleeves had a “ballon” feel to them. It was incredibly comfortable and had a very fun vintage vibe to it.
This pullover was cropped which I love for spring and summer! The 3/4 sleeves and light blush color makes it perfect to wear with shorts or a skirt.
She offers pullovers as well as cardigans! Who doesn’t love a good warm cardigan to throw over a dress or a tank. The “Sophia Cardigan” is my favorite. This style is not your average cardigan. The sleeves were so beautifully done with the details at the wrists.
I love that it was more of a crop cardigan too, which can definitely help to accentuate your waist.
I’ve always had a soft spot for a blush ballet pink color, probably because I used to be a ballerina and it reminds me of the pink tights I used to wear. What I’m wearing below is actually an infinity type scarf that can also be used as a wrap or even a top.
